The Bell Busk Saddlery Comfort Poll Pad is made from the excellent quality padded leather.  It has loops to hold it in place beneath the headpiece of your existing bridle and transforms a conventional bridle into a Comfort padded one.  The main function of this pad is to remove pressure points from a conventional bridle, if the poll pad is too soft, then pressure points will still exist.

 The poll area of the horse has a high concentration of nerve endings and is also extremely fine skinned.  A traditional bridle, where the noseband strap fits under the headpiece can cause pressure and discomfort over this highly sensitive area and this pressure is one of the most common causes of bridle and bit evasion, head shaking, rearing and contact/outline problems.

 With the comfort poll pad, this poll pressure is removed and the difference in the horse's way of going and behaviour can be quite startling; even in horses where a problem has not been identified, the difference in their softness and submission when ridden is often amazing.  Such a small investment in your horse's comfort can make such a profound difference to their well-being and how they enjoy their work.
